- Part 2:How to get traffic from forums
Hello guys!
In the last post I showed you how important the traffic from other forums with the same or similar niche is. If you missed it, you can read that post here.
Today I am going to show you how to actually get that traffic to your site. It is easy, really. Just follow these simple tips:
Your UserName.
When registering at a forum, it’s always good to choose the name of your site as your
username, followed by the extension of your domain. You need to make sure you read the rules of the forum first, and make sure they allow that in the forums. Because some don’t, and that will result into getting banned. Here is an example. If I want to register to a forum about making money online, in which case I am going to choose Site Talk Zone. For the username I would choose “TheMMBlog.com”, as you can see in the picture. So that’s what I mean by choosing the name of your site as your username, because members of that forum will be curios, and will actually visit that link, which will take them to your site.
Avatar.
If you are good with Photoshop, or any other designing program, I suggest you create a 125×125 or
100×100 banner about your site. If you don’t know how to do this, then it would be a good idea to hire someone to do that for you. You can use this banner as your avatar, as you can see on the picture on the right. That is really helpful, because if you have both the username and the avatar, people will really want to see what’s behind that link, so it’s likely that they will visit it. So that is why having a banner is really important when registering to a forum.
Signature.
Having a link to your blog in your signature is always nice. Many people look at the signatures of another member, because we are always looking for other new sites. As for me, I always click on the links. That’s
why you want to put one in your signature. You should try and make the title as catchy as possible, so it will grab the member’s attention. As you can see in the picture, mine is not that catchy, because I just did that as an example. And that’s an example of how your link will look on your signature.
One thing you should remember is that whether you are using the avatar, the signature, or the username to get traffic to your site, make sure that particular forum allows that, because not all of them do.
Well, that’s all for today, and the next post is going to be the last post of this series. Until then, have a great time!
Thanks, Klajdi
Part 1: Getting traffic from forums
Hello guys!
Today I am going to talk about the traffic that you can get from same or related niche forums. You actually want this traffic because it is unique, and if you play the cards right, you might get a lot of it. The first thing is to find a forum that is the same niche as your blog. My niche for example is making money online. Now I do not want to go and sign up in a forum that is about airplanes, or shoes, or whatever.
The point is that you need to look for something similar to what you’re talking about, and what you enjoy discussing and/or reading. Because if you join the forum that is about airplanes for example, what you are going to find there is people that are interested on airplanes, and if you they visit your site, they are not going to find anything interested on your site. So that’s why you need to attract people that are interested on making money online, as it is in this case. I actually get a lot of visitors from the forums that I frequently visit, and I am very happy with what I get.
In the next post I’m going to show you how to get visitors from the forums.
An interview with Garry Conn!
Hello guys!
Yesterday I interviewed one of the biggest bloggers around, Garry Conn. Garry Conn.com is a blog that helps you make money online. I can’t even believe I got a chance to interview him, as he is very popular. Anyways, here are the questions that I asked, and the answers that I got:
Klajdi Hena:
When did you start Blogging?
I started blogging early in 2005.
Klajdi Hena:
How passionate are you about blogging?
I am very passionate about blogging. It is my job and I love it. It is the best job in the world. It is a job that I
can’t wait to start in the morning and find myself having trouble quitting at the end of the day.
Klajdi Hena:
What got you started in this money making and blogging field?
Well, I got started with building blogs that made money online because I really didn’t enjoy my full time job making eyeglasses for a living. I have kids and my job made it difficult to do the things I wanted to do with them such as taking them to sports and activities after school. Working for myself, I am able to set my own scheduled and never have to worry about trying to get “approved days off” from work.
Klajdi Hena:
Do you think you are on the same level as other big bloggers, like Jeremy Schoemaker, Darren Rowse, Zac Johnson, and John Chow?
You can’t really look at it in that way. Jeremy, Darren, Zac and John all have their own unique skill sets. Also, they have their own objectives. They are all very gifted and talented individuals and I personally have a lot of respect for them. However, I can’t say that anyone, including myself, are at or below or even above a certain “level”. I can tell you that I am very good at what I do and I put a lot of my heart and intelligence into what I do and I think that I am extermely unique with the business I have built.
Klajdi Hena:
What are a couple of the blogs that you read daily?
Because of the nature of my business, it is important for me to stay in tune with the companies that I do business with. With that said, I read Google’s official blog quite often and I read Google’s AdSense blog. Additionally, I read Matt Cutt’s personal blog as well as quite a few other blogs that provide content related to search engines such as the Search Engine Journal and the blog I am a hired freelance writer for, SeoHosting.com. read the blogs of my personal friends such as Christine Senter, Mark Mason and quite a few others. I’ll admit that I keep quite busy and don’t have too much time to do extra reading. The blogs I do read and follow are mainly to keep my education optimized. Granted, I keep track of things that are going on and read many of my fellow make money online bloggers such as ShoeMoney.com, JohnChow.com and even JohnCow.com. I frequenly visit Mark’s 45n5.com/top100 as well to see how many of my friends are ranking within the community. All the sites are found on this page:

Klajdi Hena:
Looking at all the big bloggers, and I consider you one of them, they all have this great design, and you’re the only one who has a simple WordPress theme designed by you. Don’t you think that hurts your blog, or do you think that it’s the content that matters, and not the look?
I don’t think my design hurts me. There are many very successful and respected bloggers such as Andy Beard for example who have very simple blog designs. My friend Joel Comm has mentioned to me many times that I should hire a designer to design my blog and in many ways I agree with him. However, I do enjoy on the surface they might not be pretty or attractive, but they are very well coded and extremely search engine friendly. It is no surprise that over 80% of my traffic comes directly from search engines.
Klajdi Hena:
If you could give an advice to all the new bloggers, what would it be?
I give advice to new bloggers on a daily basis. However, to summarize things here, I can tell you that it is very important to be creative and unique. Never try to cheat any system and always have your heart and intelligence into your work. There are many ways to make money online. I make money online by building multiple blogs that target niche topics. I monetize my blogs using Google AdSense. I focus on a high
of blogs, each having a low volume of natural and organic traffic. For me, I have found that it is much easier to maintain multiple blogs that get a very low amount of traffic compared to running one big SUPER BLOG with a lot of traffic.
Klajdi Hena:
And finally, what are your plans in the future?
To overtake and rewrite the Internet. lol
I build around 5 new blogs a day. I have at this moment 12 freelance writers who produce around 100 articles per day. My plans for the future are to seriously have a result pull up for just about anything you could humanly type into a search engine.Of course that will never happen, but the more blogs I build the more of a change that I will have a listing that pulls up in the search results. The more this happens the more money I make. I have a very strong love for money and I really enjoy making it. I can never make too much money and the people who tell you that money doesn’t bring happiness are broke. :)When I say I want to overtake and rewrite the Internet, I know that would never happen. But if you want a glimpse into my mentaility… that is how aggressive and forward motion I am. I am a very hard and smart worker.
That’s all ladies and gentlemen. I know, some of you might not believe that I got the chance to interview Garry Conn. I couldn’t believe it either. So, what do you guys think about this?
Picking the right domain!
Hello guys!
Today I am going to show you how to pick the right domain for you blog/site. This is the first thing you
should be thinking about once you have figured out what kind of website/blog you are going to have. The domain name is one of the most important things to consider. But how do you choose the right one? Here are some tips on how to choose the right one for your blog/site/business.
The first and most important thing is that it should be spell-able. Other people should be able to spell it with no problem whatsoever. You don’t want something like www.unetiaiajo.com for example. I can’t spell that, and I doubt it that you can either. (I made the name up by the way). The point is that your readers should be able to spell it easily.
Ignoring Hyphens is another thing that you should watch out for when choosing the domain name. They make the domain look ugly, and most people ignore them when typing in the domain. So instead of your
site, they end up in another site who has the same domain without the hyphen. An example of this is http://webmasters-zone.net. I own this domain. Now, I’m not going to say that it’s bad, because it’s not. But the hyphen in it makes it look ugly. People would just type it without the hyphen, so they will end up on www.webmasterszone.net for example. And you don’t want that, really, because you will lose all your direct visitors.
Having keywords on the domain name will really help you. They can really effect your ranking on search engines like Google and Yahoo. Not only it effects the ranking, but also the traffic that search engines bring to your site. You should really consider that. It’s really important to your site/blog. An example would be www.freemusiconline.com
So to recap, choosing the right domain for your site/blog is one of the most important things you should consider. You should make sure that your readers and visitors can spell it correctly, avoid hyphens, and use keywords. Now that you learned some tips, make sure you use them on your next domain purchase.
Writing a killer blog post!
Hello guys!
Today I’m going to show you some tips on how to write a killer blog post. Because a good blog post will attract many visitors, and will keep your readers coming for some more. So you want it to be good. But to write a killer blog post is hard, but not impossible.
The first step is to write an attractive and defining title. You should include the main stuff in it, for example the keywords that are related to your blog post. For example, if you writing a blog post about dogs, you should include the keyword “dog” on your title.
Second step is to write a post that is clear, and it clearly delivers your point to your readers without having the reader thinking about it too much. It should be easily readable, because not everybody that reads your blog might be from a country that speaks English.
The third step is to include a link to your old posts. That way your readers have a chance to read your old post that they might have missed before. So interchanging links within your blog is something good. Another thing to do is to include links to other blogs you read frequently. The chances are the other blogger will include a link to your blog.
The forth and final important step is to write your own and honest opinion on the blog post. You shouldn’t write something that you have copied from another blog. That’s not only cheating and dishonesty, it’s also bad for your post.
So if you’re thinking of writing your next blog post, keep in mind these four tips and you’ll be good to go.
If you think I missed a tip, and you’d like me to add something, let me know by leaving a comment.

Are you ready for a new President?
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!
Tomorrow, on November 4th, 2008, it’s the presidential election day. After 4 years, America gets a chance to vote again. The candidates, just in case you don’t know, are the Democratic Barak Obama, and the Republican John McCain. Although I can’t vote because I’m not 18 yet, I’m still excited to see who’s gonna win. I hope you’re ready too, although you might not be an American.
Thanks, Klajdi.
Why and why not Digital Point?
Hello guys! Today I am going to tell you why you need to use and why you DON’T need to use Digital Point. Digital Point is a webmaster related forum. It’s the most popular forum, I’d say. It’s owned by Shawn Hogan, who started this forum couple years back, I don’t know exactly when. If you ask any webmaster you want, most of them are a member of DP, unless they’re banned. Being part of DP has a lot of benefits. The benefits are that it is the most popular webmaster related forum, so that means that you can sell and buy stuff easier, because you got thousands of members you can communicate with. And of course, as most of the other forums, there are going to be scammers, and not so good people. But other than the MarketPlace, I don’t think it’s any good. Some webmasters have called it “…it’s a piece of s**t…”. I don’t want to insult anybody now, so I’m gonna let you be the judge of that. And because of the many scammers there, you should be really careful.
